Captain's Log:

I don't think it is possible to find a more uninteresting sector of space than the one in which we are currently operating. We have been traversing this sector for the past 10 days.. with another 14 to go following our assigned course. Even the stars which make up this region are just about as bland and uninspiring as possible. I am more convinced than ever that this region is a waste of time. Other than perhaps placing sensor bouys in the event unidentified starships pass through, there does not appear to be anything here which is of use to the Federation here. The only systems we have recorded are comprised of rocky, small planetoids with no atmosphere and no resources detected which could be utilized to our benefit.

I'd almost welcome a Borg ship on patrol however, there is. Toning here which the Collective would seem of any value either.

What the hell are we doing out here?

Signing off her log entry, the Captain gazed out the view port in her ready room and then muttered a morose, "QI'yaH!"

Terran languages simply did not possess the depth and creativity of Klingon cursing...

She was bored, frustrated to be unable to get the Romulan spy locked in the Brig off her ship and thus.. hated this part of space that much more!
